Berger-Landefeldt Foundation

The Inge and Johann Heinrich Berger-Landefeldt Foundation is a foundation for symptomatic epilepsy. The foundation supports people that have epilepsy due to external influences - in other words people that suffer from an acquired epilepsy. Primarily, the support consists of single personal contributions to programs and aids for which no other funding provider in the German health and social system can be found.

Such cost subsidies can be granted, among other things:

• for travels and rides:
• for participation in disability sports
• for medical, psychological, or educational counseling
• for guidance on vocational retraining and integration measures
• for exchange of experiences at self-help group meetings
• for spa treatments and recreational stays

• for hobbies, e.g. learning a musical instrument, attending a concert, participating in sporting events

• for special aids such as:
• head protection, special footwear
• home treatment facilities
• accessible adaptation of the home environment
• occupational safety in private hobby rooms
• protection in private hobby rooms
• aids to attend parasports
• individual learning aids (including computer-based ones)

The Berger-Landefeldt Foundation can only support applications that have been rejected by a funding provider (health insurance, other social insurance providers or integration assistance).
